Runtime Environment

To ensure Fortex Streamer’s optimal performance and reliability, we have chosen Sun Microsystem’s Java Virtual Machine as its standard runtime environment. Your browser must be at least Netscape Communicator 4.05 or Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.01 or higher with Java Plug-in from Sun Microsystem.  Sun Microsystem offers Java Plug-ins for various operating systems.  The newest one for Windows platform is called Java 2 Runtime Environment Version 1.3.0 (JRE V 1.3.0), also known as Java Plug-in 1.3.0. 

Our SmartSetup software and other installation packages will automatically install the windows JRE V 1.3.0 for you. If you use non-Windows operating system, please find the JRE package for your operating system on java.sun.com
