2.1 Main Menu Bar

 

Once you successfully login, you will see the Fortex Streamer application launch.  The menu bar is the main vehicle to control the application (see Figure 2.1.1).  The title bar illustrates your system logon status.  Down on the left hand side, it provides a few standard drop-down menus and four tabs to navigate through various functional windows.  On the right hand side, it shows some critical system performance information.

First, there is a single-line text message in Blue color which records the last trading action performed by the user (see Figure 2.1.2), such as an order entered, an order canceled or an execution fill report.

Second, there are two graphical green squares in Green color.  The left one signals the user’s network connectivity to the execution server (Figure 2.1.3), while the right one signals that to the quote server (Figure 2.1.4).  When the connection is lost, their color will turn into red to alarm the user to re-connect.
